Martin Luther
Martin Luther (10. november 1483 - 18. februar 1546), kristen teolog og augustinsk munk der inspirererede den lutheranske reformation og havde en dyb indflydelse på de protestantiske doktriner og andre kristne traditioner.
Martin Luther var fra 1525 gift med den tidligere nonne Katharina von Bora der havde forladt sit kloster i 1523,
Med sit teologiske ståsted hos Paulus, var Luther stærkt antijødisk. Han offentliggjorde i 1543 skriftet Om Jøderne og deres løgne, blandt andet med syv anvisninger på udøvelse af skarp barmhjertighed overfor jøderne.
